Toyota Indonesia to participate in the environmental exhibition Eco Products International Fair 2010. An international standard exhibition largest in Asia that was held in Jakarta Convention Center, Jakarta, 4-7 March 2010.

On this occasion the Toyota booth featuring two on the opening day had visited the Minister of Manpower and Transmigration Muhaimin Iskandar. At that time, the group received the Director of PT Toyota-Astra Motor Setyono Redjo Benny and Vice President Director of PT Toyota Motor Manufacturing Indonesia Toshihiro Yokoi.

Toyota show display Kijang Innova products that use parts made from environmentally friendly fiber, kenaf plant, complete with information panels explaining the materials, manufacturing processes with environmentally friendly materials as well as Toyota's environmental activities.

At this event also featured Toyota tools and programs created by high school kids contestant Toyota Eco Youth from various cities in Indonesia. Toyota Eco Youth alone this year has entered the fifth year. In the fifth year, Toyota Eco Youth program focuses on sustainability contest or contest sustainability.

This contest involves 22 schools in 18 cities from Sabang to Merauke. Toyota Eco Youth 5 include an element that can be added value for the program, namely science and technology approach. This one element requires the participants to be able to apply appropriate technologies for environmentally friendly, in accordance with the conditions and needs of the environment around the school.

Toyota Eco Youth program has a goal of creating a School of Environment Concept Toyota Binaan who later became a pilot for the people who want to learn practical projects for environmental management.

"The issue of global warming has become has become Toyota's attention for so long. We moved to take part in an effort to prevent global warming through environmental awareness contest through the younger generation of environmental agents, to Indonesia and a greener earth, "said Benny Redjo Setyono.

Work together with Kirai Indonesia Foundation to address environmental and Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB) to handle the environmental field-based technology, a fighting contest prizes totaling more than 200 million dollars has been through various stages such as collecting data, mentoring and judging. The exhibition and the announcement of the winners was held in conjunction with Eco Products International Fair 2010 Feb. 4 until March 7, 2010 held at Jakarta Convention Center.
